Terms of Service
These terms cover buying and using anything from Color With Live. Buying from us means you accept them.
What you are buying
A stencil is an arrangement map for Ableton Live. It contains the structure of a track: sections, timing, colour coding, labels, MIDI placeholders and reference tools. It contains no audio, no samples, no presets and nothing from any original recording.
Stencils are structural outlines inspired by released records. They are not copies, remakes or reproductions of those records, and buying one does not give you any rights in the original song.
What you can do with it
You get a personal licence to use the stencil in your own productions, for as long as you like, including commercially. Music you make with it is yours. Release it, sign it, sell it, play it out. We claim nothing in it and take no royalty.
What you cannot do with it
Do not resell, share, upload, give away or redistribute the stencil file itself, whether on its own or inside a pack, course or template you sell. Do not upload it to sample sites, Discord servers, torrent sites or cloud folders. One purchase is for one person.
If you produce for clients, you can use stencils in client work. You cannot hand the stencil file to the client.
Your responsibilities
Stencils only open in Ableton Live, at the version listed on each product page. Check that before buying. Whether the music you make with a stencil infringes anyone's rights is your responsibility, not ours.
Delivery
Products are delivered by email after checkout. If your file does not arrive, contact us at team@colorwithlive.com and we will resend it the same day. If we cannot deliver it, you get a full refund.
Refunds
Contact us within 30 days for a refund, no reason needed. The full terms are on our Refund Policy page, which forms part of these terms.
Free products
Free stencils and downloads are covered by these same terms. They are free, so we make no promises about how long any particular free product stays available.
Pricing and bundles
Prices are in US dollars and can change. Bundle discounts apply automatically at checkout at the tiers shown on the site. If a price is displayed incorrectly, we can cancel and refund the order rather than honour an obvious error.
Our stuff
The site, the artwork, the copy, the logo and the stencil files are ours. Do not copy or republish them.
What we do not promise
Products are provided as they are. We do not promise the site will never go down, or that a stencil will suit your project. What we do promise is the refund policy above, which is your remedy if you are not happy.
Liability
Our total liability for anything connected to a purchase is limited to what you paid for it. We are not liable for lost work, lost income or lost projects. Nothing here removes rights you have under consumer law where you live.
Suspending access
We can refuse service or cancel an order if someone is redistributing files, abusing refunds, or filing fraudulent chargebacks.
Changes
We update these terms when the business changes. The version on this page is the one that applies, and the date at the top tells you when it last changed.
