We broke down songs in extreme detail to show you what instruments go into them and where to put them across the timeline. All that is left to do is bring your own sounds.

What's inside

30 full arrangement maps

Every record mapped across the full timeline, with automation notes written into the clips so you see the decisions, not just the layout.

Fully organized sessions

Every session mapped, color coded and labeled before you open it. No setup, no blank screen.

Vocal map in every stencil

Every vocal section marked across the timeline, so you can see how vocals are arranged across 30 different records.

Key mapped frequency check rack

Instant isolation of lows, mids, highs, mono and stereo while you work, built into every session in the bundle.

Two key mapped reference channels

Load up to two reference tracks and A/B without opening any windows.

Patterns you can reuse

30 records is enough to see what repeats. Learn the patterns the pros use, then take them into every track you write after this.

Sessions

Walk in as the most prepared person in the room

A good sample pack is still worth buying, but you probably have enough of those. This is what a folder of arrangements does that a folder of sounds cannot.

Keys practice

Practice keys in the genre you are writing in

Every genre is its own dialect. Fill a stencil out with your own drums and it becomes the track you practice over, so the theory you drill is the theory that genre actually uses.

  • Play through a whole record top to bottom instead of looping four bars
  • Drill the chord shapes and voicings tech house records are actually built on
  • Learn where a progression is meant to change, because the sections are already marked
  • Swap the top loops when you want a different groove to play over
  • Scales and theory stop being homework and start sounding like the records you like

Reference and frequency check

There is a frequency check rack on both the master and the reference group. A key command hits both at once, so you can go back and forth between your track and a reference without changing anything.

If something sounds off, like the lows soloed on one but not the other, match the two racks and it will clear up.

Every one of the [count] stencils in this bundle opens with this already built in. Load up to two reference tracks into the provided channels and use the key commands to make referencing automatic.

Skill

There are three ways to learn arrangement

Two of them cost you energy. One of them happens while you are finishing a song.

Watching videos

Pulls you out of the DAW and almost none of it sticks.

Referencing by ear

Essential, and it works, but it burns energy every session and it only tells you what you heard. It needs a visual to sit next to it.

Referencing the arrangement visually (best paired with by ear)

A stencil is the only way to do it. The whole record is on screen while you write, so you can start experimenting immediately. We put the rules in front of you so you can start breaking them right away.
